Annie Townsend

BONNE TERRE — Anna Margaret Townsend, 97 years 11 months and 4 days, passed away May 19, 2014, at Maplebrook Assisted Living in Farmington. She was born June 15, 1916, in Esther, Mo., to Guy and Ardelia Celeste (Highley) Haile. Also preceding in death was her husband, Harry Townsend; daughter, Joanne Bloom; grandson, Thomas Tuttle; great-granddaughter, Amanda Aubuchon; five sisters, Alma, Grace, Ella, Effie and Lillian; four brothers, Buford, Jerry, Shelton, and Percy; step-children, Steve, Francis, Ralph, Jean and Donnie Lindsey; sons-in-law, Roy Bloom and Donald Lee.

Annie enjoyed the simple things in life by spending time with her family and friends. Her joyful spirit and youthful energy made her the “Life of the Party” at all of the family gatherings.

She is survived by her children, Carolyn Copeland, Gary Lee (Kathy) Lindsey, Dennis “Jick” (Brenda) Lindsey, Hannah Lee, Kay Outman, Dani (Bill) Bryan; nineteen grandchildren, forty four great-grandchildren and twenty great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday May 21, 2014, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Chapel. Interment will follow at Oddfellows Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to American Cancer Society.
