Warriors polish off 2014 track season at State Meet

JEFFERSON CITY – The 4x400m relay team of Damian Jokerst, Tristan Huck, Jarrod Davis and Austin Pennell concluded the season for the Valle Catholic Warriors track team on Saturday as they were able to run four laps of the track in 3:31.86 to place sixth at the State Meet.

The three points they earned for their efforts boosted Valle Catholic to 26th place with a total of nine points in the two-day event. Lamar captured first-place with 91.

Logan Tucker cleared the bar at 13’6” to place fourth in the pole vault, and Jesse Meyer took eighth in the shot put with a toss of 46’1/2” with both contributing to the team total.

Meyer also placed 13th in the discus with a distance of 122’, and Pennell ran the 800m run in 2:05.96 to finish 13th.
