Elvis comes to town
Many locals got a chance to listen to relive some of Elvis Presley’s hits over the weekend at several area restaurants.
Richard Conachuck said he is the booking agent for Otis Berry, an ordained minister who became an Elvis impersonator about 25 to 30 years ago.
“There were about 500 Elvis impersonators in Memphis about 25 years ago and he won first place. He was the closest and most original looking one,” said Conachuck.
Conachuck said Berry wanted to do something to help people and by doing this he can sing and minister to them.
“He drove 480 miles to be here this weekend. He performed in Jackson, Farmington and Hardees and Pizza Hut in Fredericktown and preached Sunday morning,” said Conachuck.
Conachuck said he also does Hank Williams Senior impersonations.
He added Berry will be back to the area, “He was going through McDonald’s and the manager gave us their card and said they would like to have him perform there.”
Conachuck said if anyone would like to have Berry perform he is always willing to perform as Elvis.
Conachuck can be reached at 573-561-1120 for more information.
