Charles Francis Baumgartner, Jr.
CAPE GIRARDEAU — Charles “Chuck” Francis Baumgartner, Jr., 53, of Oak Ridge, Missouri, formerly of Farmington, passed away June 23, 2014. He was born January 1, 1961, in Farmington, Missouri, to Charles F. Baumgartner, Sr. and the late Aline “Peggy” (Fraser) Baumgartner. Chuck was the first baby to be born on New Year’s Day in St. Francois County that year.
He graduated from Farmington Sr. High School and later proudly served his country as a soldier in the Army. He was a truck driver for many years for Buchheit, receiving several awards for safe driving. He was also an avid motorcycle rider. His blended family was a source of love and joy to him.
Chuck was a believer in and a witness to the Word of God.
Chuck is survived by his wife and love of his life, Teresa, of Oak Ridge; father, Charles F. Baumgartner, Sr. of Farmington; sisters, Tina (Tom) Kile and Marilyn (Silver) Binongial; brother, Mark (Leslie) Baumgartner; sister-in-law, Pat Hyde; aunt, Gene Bay; children, Kim, David, Tim, Elizabeth, Nikki, Sabrina, Bonnie, Troy and Rebecca; grandchildren, Katelyn, Paul, Aiden, Brexin, Michelle, Serenity, Jocelyn, Caleb, Shane and one grandchild on the way; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who dearly loved him.
Chuck was preceded in death by his mother, “Peggy” Fraser Baumgartner; his infant sister, Carolyn; his dear nephews, Bryan Baumgartner; paternal grandparents, Henry and Katherine (Hauck) Baumgartner; maternal grandparents, Guy and Lola (Harrington) Fraser.
Friends may call Thursday, June 26, 2014, from 4–8 p.m. at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau. Funeral service will be Friday, June 27, 2014, at 10 a.m. the funeral home with Pastor Greg King officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family to help defray funeral expenses or the Bread of Life Restoration Center in Jackson.
