New pastor comes to Bonne Terre church
Rev. Frank Husted will preach his first sermon at 10:30 a.m. Sunday as the new pastor at Centenary United Methodist Church, 20 Park Street, in downtown Bonne Terre.
Husted comes to Centenary from Chamois United Methodist Church and St. John’s United Church of Christ in Chamois. Originally from Cape Girardeau, he grew up “all over” since his father joined the US Navy shortly after he was born. He is married to Lynda Husted; they are the parents of four children. Their youngest daughter Anna will be a junior at North County High School.
Husted has been in ministry since 1994. He is active in the Walk to Emmaus retreat community.
Lynda is originally from San Diego, California. She and Rev. Husted met in San Diego when he was serving in the US Navy. She is a homemaker and is usually the primary care-giver for their three grandchildren, the youngest was born May 15. She has a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science from Missouri Baptist University.
The congregation at Centenary Church invites everyone to attend worship and a welcome potluck luncheon following the service.
Husted follows Rev. Michael Kelpe who retired. The Husted family are looking forward to getting involved in the Bonne Terre Community.
