Edwin “”Huffy”” Stephens

Edwin “Huffy” Stephens, 82, died Wednesday, June 25, at Stockhoff Nursing Home in Fredericktown. He was born May 10, 1932 in Marquand, the son of Claud and Ruby (Lietz) Stephens.

Mr. Stephens married Mary L. Senter (she survives). He later married Sharon Lee Knapp.

Mr. Stephens was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Sharon Lee Stephens; and sister Anna Marie Combs.

Survivors include son Steven E. Stephens of St. Ann, Mo.; daughter Janet M. Harding of Kansas City, Mo.; step-son Richard Chappell of Russellville, Mo.; brothers Maurice Stephens of Marquand and Milburn “Buzz” Stephens of O’Fallon, Mo.; sisters Violet Maxine Mouser of Round Rock, Texas, Wilma Elizabeth Tyler of Kokomo, Ind., Cora Lee Stephens of Marquand, and Norma Mae Krauss of Walton, Ind., three grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; two great grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren.

Huffy enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Funeral services were Saturday, June 27, 2014 at Follis & Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Charles David McCutcheon officiating. Burial was at Stephens Cemetery.
