Four injured in crash

Four Jefferson County people, including two children, were injured in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Hwy. 30 and Route K in Franklin County at about 1 p.m. July 13, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Eileen K. Treon, 60, of Hillsboro, and two passengers in her vehicle – Jaiden E. Treon, 7, and Paige E. Treon, 11, both of Festus – were taken by St. Clair Ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Washington. Eileen and Paige Treon both had minor injuries and Jaiden Treon had moderate injuries, according to the patrol. In addition, Maryann Taylor, 67, of Barnhart had moderate injuries and was transported by St. Clair Ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Washington, the report says.

Mary Ann Taylor, Eileen and Jaiden Treon were treated and released at the hospital. Paige Treon was transferred to another hospital, according to a spokesman at Mercy Hospital in Washington.

Taylor was driving a 2008 Kia Sportage and attempted to turn southbound onto K when she failed to yield to the 2009 Toyota Highlander, driven by Eileen Treon, the highway patrol said. According to the report, the front of Taylor’s vehicle struck the front left of Treon’s vehicle.

Everyone was wearing a seatbelt, the patrol reports.
