Parents as Teachers 5k and fun run scheduled
The Farmington Parents as Teachers will host a 5k run and fun run from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Aug. 2 beginning at the St. Francois County Courthouse Annex parking lot. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. on that morning.
The cost is $25 for adults, $15 for children age 12 and under or $35 per family (limit of two T-shirts).
The event includes a stroller contest, car show plus emergency equipment for kids to explore.
A rain date has been set for Aug. 9.
