SUV and dump truck collide

Emergency crews were dispatched to U.S. 67 near Doubet Road at 2:52 p.m. on Wednesday following an accident between a a passenger vehicle and a dump truck.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Stacy J. Lockwood, 49, of Park Hills was driving a 2007 Ford Edge eastbound when she failed to yield for 1980 International dump truck heading northbound on U.S. 67 driven by James E. Draper, 64, of Farmington.  

Both drivers were moderately injured in the accident. Lockwood was transported by Air Evac to St. John’s Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur. Draper was transported by St. Francois County Ambulance to Parkland Health Center in Farmington. The report states both were wearing seatbelts.

The vehicles were towed by Buckley Towing. Both are listed in the report as totaled.

The northbound lanes of U.S. 67 were shut down at Perrine Road to Highway 221. One lane of traffic opened at about 4:15 p.m.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol, as well as the Farmington Fire Department and Farmington Police Department with St. Francois County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene.
