Ste. Gen may seek budget cuts

Ste. Genevieve seems to have a smaller budget than normal for 2014-2015.

Members of the board of aldermen discussed staff budget projections for the upcoming fiscal year at a budget meeting.

The board looked over the budgets and discussed the estimated cost of staffing at a recent meeting.

Without any major purchases or circumstances, the city should have around $100,000 in general revenue.

However, City Administrator Martin Toma told the board that normal revenue for a city the size of Ste. Genevieve should be closer to half a million.
