Lady Raiders trounce Potosi on diamond

POTOSI – The North County Raiders hitters jumped on Potosi’s pitching for 16 hits to pull off a 16-0 shut-out on Tuesday over the Lady Trojans to start MAAA Conference play.

Jessica Newburry pitched her second shut-out of the season as she allowed the Potosi line-up only one hit, one less than her own 2-2 at the plate.

Lexi Adams  was a perfect 3-3, and Sydney Parker and Madison Binkard were both 2-3 with seven other Lady Raiders having one hit each.

North County will host Central on Thursday in a conference showdown of 1-0 teams.
