MAC golf team finishes fall season

MORRISTOWN, TENN – The Mineral Area College Cardinals golf team played in the Wallace State Tournament on October 20-21 and concluded their fall season with an eighth-place finish.

Mineral Area had the best improvement of all the teams from the first day to the second, shooting 323 on the first day and 307 on the second. The team is currently ranked 17th in the nation in NJCAA Division 2.

Scott McCandless led the team with a two-day total of 150. Dustin Schultz shot a 157, and Ryan West was next at 162. Matt Gordon finished up with a 163, and Kellen Bader polished off the team score with a 168.
