Gary David Jones-Salisbury

COLUMBIA, Mo. — Gary David Jones-Salisbury, 62, of Columbia passed away on Friday, December 5, 2014. There will be a private family memorial gathering.

Gary was born on February 26, 1952, in St. Louis to Jean Hooper and Don Reeds.

Gary was in the Merchant Marines. He loved to travel and lived in a variety of places before settling down in Columbia, Missouri in the mid 1970’s.

Gary was a people person with a great sense of humor. Throughout Columbia, people constantly came up to him and remembered him from some time when he’d made an impression.

Gary loved the water, dogs, gardening, classic rock music and playing the guitar. He was proud that his three children inherited his musical talents.

Gary will be sadly missed by his three children, Ryan Jones, Savannah (Jones-Salisbury) Province (Jason), and Tyler Jones; his sister Susan Pijut (Tony); mother Jean Hooper (Dean); and niece Erin Salisbury, along with other family and friends.
