Local home destroyed by fire Monday
Firefighters arrived on the scene and worked quickly to battle a house fire in Fredericktown, Monday afternoon.
The Fredericktown Fire Department responded to a call at 12:58 p.m., Monday to a fire at 207 Armory St. The home was engulfed in flames when the department arrived.
There was no one in the house at the time of the fire.
The department extinguished the fire and the state fire marshal was called. Fredericktown Fire Department Chief John Clark said the Fire Marshal found the cause of the fire to be “undetermined.”
Clark said damage to the house was “total.”
The department left the scene at 6 p.m.
