The Fredericktown Lady Cats Girls Basketball Team lost 76-44, Thursday night at Central.
It was the first regular season loss and the first conference loss for the Lady Cats (7-5).
Central jumped to a 19-13 lead after one quarter. The second quarter proved to be the difference maker. Central scored 26, while holding the Cats to just nine points. A 14-10 third quarter increased the Central lead to 59-32.
For the game, Paige Godsey led the Lady Cats with 12 points. Annabeth Phillips scored ten. Abby Clark had six, Ellie Jensen had five, Callista Francis and Raylyn Dodd each scored four, and Brooklynn Hudson scored three. Francis led with ten rebounds. Dodd had eight. Phillips added five assists.
The Lady Cats host Ste. Genevieve, Thursday. The make-up date for the Lady Cats home against Potosi will be Jan. 28. The j.v. game will start at 6 p.m. with the varsity to follow.
