Man wanted in purse snatching

Arnold Police are looking for a St. Louis man who reportedly stole a purse from a 52-year-old woman on Monday in the parking lot of the Walmart store. 

The victim had finished shopping and was putting the purchased items in her vehicle about 6:45 p.m. Monday. The suspect grabbed her purse while she was returning a shopping cart, Arnold Police reported.

The purse snatcher has been identified and is being sought in St. Louis.

During a struggle with the suspect, most of the contents of the purse fell out. When the suspect got away it contained two bottles of prescription medicine and three checkbooks.

The woman was not injured, according to the report.

The get-away car had three other people inside and was last seen headed south on Jeffco Boulevard from Michigan Avenue.
