Free Radon Test kits are available to Missouri residents
Radon Test kits are available to all Missouri residents. National Radon Gas Action Month just concluded last month. However, it is not too late to take advantage of this free service from Bureau of Environmental Epidemiology at Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS).
Missouri residents will find an online form to fill out by going to this link which is part of the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services website at: http://health.mo.gov/living/environment/radon/testkit.php
The form contains a few very simple questions and the option to request a copy of an EPA publication on the health risks of radon.
As a reminder this gas is naturally occurring and is colorless, odorless and tasteless so testing is the only way to detect its presence.
Interested parties may also write to the following address, Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, PO Box 570, Jefferson City, MO 65102 or by phone at 573-751-6102 or (toll-free) 866-628-9891.
Persons may email the Bureau of Environmental Epidemiology directly at: info@health.mo.gov.
