Belkin receives Chris Weiss scholarship

A nursing student has received the first Christopher Scott Weiss Memorial Scholarship at Mineral Area College.

Mary Belkin of Libertyville is a returning student enrolled in the nursing program at MAC.

Being the mother of two with a desire to help others made Belkin the perfect candidate for the scholarship. Just as Christopher helped his own mother succeed through her college years, this memorial scholarship is set up to continue Chris’ character of helping others.
