MADISON COUNTY COMMISSION MINUTES
February 2, the Madison County Commission met with the following members present: Presiding Commissioner Bob Mooney, First District Commissioner Tom Stephens and Second District Commissioner Jim Thompson. Smith & Company Engineering firm from Poplar Bluff attended the meeting.
ROAD AND BRIDGE DEPARTMENT
Road and Bridge Supervisor Gregg Pruett and the Commission discussed some road repair needs. Pruett said they had received parts for the boom axe and it will be repaired this week.
SMITH & CO. ENGINEERS
Smith & Company attended the meeting and discussed the procedures needed to commence replacing an off road bridge on CR 217.
COMMISSIONER REPORTS
Stephens checked on several county roads. He also visited the E-911 department.
Thompson checked on several District Two county roads for needed repairs and attended an East Missouri Action Agency meeting last week.
Mooney and Stephens attended the District Commissioner’s meeting in Cape Girardeau last week.
Mooney attended an Economic Development meeting in Perryville last week. He also attended a Solid Waste Management meeting along with the Regional Planning Commission meeting in Perryville.
Mooney said he checked on some roads, visited the E-911 department and the Sheriff’s department last week.
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE
Accounts payable were submitted for payment by Deputy Clerk Jessica Stevens. Thompson made a motion, seconded by Stephens to approve accounts payable. The motion carried. No further business was transacted, and Mooney adjourned the meeting at noon.
