Spring clean up week information released

The city of Farmington recently announced Spring Clean Up Week for April 13 to 16.

Ward One will be April 13; Ward Two on April 14; Ward Three on April 15 and Ward Four on April 16.

City crews will begin at 7:30 a.m. each morning. Please have rubbish in containers at the curb or in the alley.

Crews will not take anything a trash service picks up, such as trash bags, cardboard boxes or items in garbage cans. No leaves, limbs, brush, lumber, shingles, siding or construction waste products will be picked up.

In addition, items much not be larger than what two men can handle. Appliances must have compressors removed. If crews are unable to complete a ward in a single day, they will finish the following day.

Tires may be taken to the street department at 210 Industrial Dr. on April 17 for a fee of $2.50 per tire or $3.50 is mounted on wheel. Only passenger car and light pick-up tires will be accepted.

Farmington citizens are asked to check their ward location and dates and leave all rubbish by the curb on the specified morning, no later than 7:30 a.m. There is no call-back.
