Bobby Gene Harris

DELASSUS — Mr. Bobby Gene Harris, 78, passed away February 16, 2015, at his residence. Bobby was born February 5, 1937, in Campbell, Missouri, and was the son of Oscar Harris and Clara Jane ‘Myers’ Harris. Also preceding-in-death were a sister, Ruth Cooper; two brothers, Lloyd Harris and Floyd Harris.

Bobby owned Bob’s Sheet Metal for 36 years and owned his own Heating and Air Conditioning business. He was married on September 4, 1962, in St. Louis, and was a US Army Veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Florence Mae ‘White’ Harris, of Delassus; four children, Kenneth (and Tamara) Harris of Mount Vernon, Missouri, Steven (and Jane) Harris, of Farmington, Rebecca Harris of Farmington, and Bobby Keith Harris of Campbell, Missouri. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Caitlin Harris of Fairbanks, Alaska, Sahba Harris of Chicago, Illinois, Matthew Harris of Farmington, Katie Harris of Farmington and Chassidy Harris of Campbell, Missouri.

Visitation starts today, 11:00 a.m., at Taylor Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc., with a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Dale Stringer officiating. LeadBelt Patriot Guard Riders will lead the funeral procession to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, for burial with Full Military Honors on Friday.
