Seven years for felonious restraint

A St. Francois County man was sentenced to seven years in prison for several charges including two that stemmed from an incident where a woman was reportedly assaulted and held against her will.

Andrew Gregory, 23, of rural Bonne Terre, was sentenced to seven years in prison for felonious restraint, unlawful use of a weapon, stealing, and receiving stolen property. Other charges were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

According to court records, on June 11, 2014 deputies were dispatched to a residence on Berry Road after a woman texted her mother that Gregory had beaten her for the past three days. When law enforcement found him, Gregory told deputies that the woman had left and he did not have her cell phone number.

Because he was acting nervous, they placed Gregory in custody for further investigation. He then began crying and screaming for the woman to come out of the attic. She told deputies she was hiding because Gregory had threatened to kill her and would not let her leave the residence. She said he had a rifle.

Deputies observed the woman had several bruises on both arms and her right eye was swollen and bruised.

He already had the other charges pending for stealing and receiving stolen property.

In other cases, Larry Dean Keller Jr., 44, of Farmington, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for manufacture of meth. The judge will consider releasing him on a new probation after he completes a 120-day drug treatment program.

Mary Ellen Hawley, 52, incarcerated on other charges, was sentenced to five years in prison for possession of a controlled substance.

Brandon Michael Hasenstab, 24, of Farmington, was sentenced to seven years in prison for possession of a controlled substance and violating the probation he received for forgery and DWI.

The judge will consider releasing him on probation after he completes a 120-day shock incarceration program.

Jordy Hamelback, 29, of Farmington, was sentenced to seven years in prison for violating the probation he received for stealing. The judge will consider releasing him on a new probation after he completes a 120-day drug treatment program.

Thomas L. Young, 53, of Park Hills, was sentenced to 11 years in prison for DWI and resisting arrest. The judge will consider releasing him on probation after he completes a long-term drug treatment program.

Christa E. Mueller, 28, of Park Hills, was sentenced to seven years in prison for violating the probation she received for possession of heroin.

Placed on five years of supervised probation were Latasha Marie Greber, 27, of Park Hills, for driving with a revoked license; Kimberly Heck, 45, of Terre Du Lac, for possession of a controlled substance; Jessica Bowman, 20, of Park Hills, for forgery; Jason McGee, 41, of St. Louis, for driving without a license; and Elizabeth Tinker, 31, of Farmington, for stealing.
