POLK CITY, Fla. — Lloyd Gordon Cresswell of Polk City, FL, formerly of Farmington, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015, at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute in Tampa, FL, at the age of 60 years. He was born November 1, 1954, at Bonne Terre son of the late John Gilbert “Gib” and Alverna Mae “Jackie” (Pruett) Cresswell.
Lloyd moved to Polk City, FL, in 1993. He worked at the Tampa Armature Works in Polk City, FL. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed St. Louis Cardinals Baseball, and was a Tiger Woods fan.
He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him including his brother Charles Ray Cresswell of Farmington, sisters Sheila Kay Allen of Farmington and Charlotte Rene (and John) Gulla of Winfield, IL, three nephews, Winston Ray Cresswell of Farmington, Cody John Gulla of Winfield, IL, and Austin Ray Gulla of Winfield, IL, a niece, Laura Jane (and Dustin) Murray of Farmington, Three great-nieces Vonna Rae and Lyza Jane Cresswell and Clara Mae Murray, a great nephew, Carter Ray Murray, an aunt Mary (Cresswell) Freeman of Charlotte, NC, a cousin, Jane (and Keith) Parks and special friend, Peggy Powers Cresswell. He is also survived by numerous other friends and neighbors in both Florida and Missouri.
Memorial Services in Florida were held on Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at the Holloway Funeral Home in Oldsmar, FL. Local Memorial Services are scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2015, at the Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory with a visitation from 3–7 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 7 p.m. in the Cozean Chapel.
