Woman wants flag returned to family

Nelda Bleckler of American War Mothers is trying to locate the family of a deceased veteran so she can give them a display case with an American flag from his funeral. She said it was found in the closet of someone’s home.

“His name was Paul Burouth and he passed away in 2008,” Bleckler said. “His wife’s name was Virginia, but I’m not sure if she is still alive. If she is, I don’t know how to find her.”

Bleckler said Borough’s funeral service was held at CZ Boyer and Sons Funeral Home.

“I want the flags to be returned to Paul’s family if at all possible,” she said. “I would like to put it to rest in a nice place.”
