Solar information meeting, April 22-23 in Greenville
Wayne County – Have you considered using the sun to produce electricity or heat your home? University of Missouri Extension is hosting a two night solar informational meeting on April 22nd & 23rd, 2015.
The meetings will be held at the Greenville High School, 178 Walnut Street. Both meetings will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m. There is no fee to attend.
Topics will include:
1. How solar works
2. What is net metering
3. How do incentives work – tax credits, depreciation, grants
4. Applying for grants
5. What about passive solar
6. How do I know how much solar is available
7. Will my utility assist with my project
8. Benefits of solar energy
This two-night meeting will begin April 22 with a discussion of system designs, available funding, and passive solar energy. The program will continue April 23 with the development of plans for implementing solar energy at your home, farm or business.
