Track Cats compete at North County, Ste. Gen.

The Fredericktown High School Track Team competed in two meets, last week.

April 1, at the Old Settlement Track Meet in Ste. Genevieve, the boys team placed third overall.

Patrick Smothers won the triple jump with an All Conference jump of 40-feet-7-inches. He was also third in the long jump. Bernard Dorsey won the 100 meter dash and was second in the 400 meter run. Caleb Carver was first in the discus. Zach Keller was second in discus. Timmy Toppins was third in the 1600 meter run. The relay team of Smothers, Dorsey, Camden Garland, and Aryan Curtis took second in the 800 meter relay. Tim Toppins, Brice Roberts, Sam Toppins, and Chris Avalos where third in the 3200 meter relay. Dorsey, Brice Roberts, Christian Reese and Reide Roberts where third in the 1600 meter relay.

For the Lady Cats, Annabeth Phillips was second in the 1600 Meter Run and Alyssa Jorden was third in the discus.

The North County Raider Relays were March 31.

The Lady Cats finished seventh overall in the meet with 31 points.

For the Lady Cats, Phillips won the three distance races Tuesday afternoon. She swept the 800, 1600 and 3200 runs. In the 800, her time was 2:26.70. She ran the 1600 in 5:24.89. Her time of 11:56.14 in the 3200 was a new shcool record, beating the old record by 24 seconds.

The Blackcats took fifth place in the meet with 50 points.
