Ada Margaret Long
PARK HILLS – Ada Margaret Long, 79, of Jackson, Missouri, passed away April 18, 2015, at St. Francis Medical Center. Ada Long was born May 10, 1935, at Coffman, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Propes and Margaret (Coulter) Propes; daughter, Cindy Craig; and sisters, Julie Propes and Martha Ross.
Ada is survived by her husband, Vernon Long of Jackson; daughter, Sheila Haas and husband Melvin of Timmonsville, South Carolina; son, Matthew Long of Goshen, Indiana; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Omar Propes and Robert Propes and wife Judy. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends also survive.
Ada was married to her husband Vernon Long for 59 years and she was a faithful pastor’s wife who she served the Lord with her husband.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, April 20, 2015, at Horton-Wampler Funeral Home in Park Hills. Funeral services for Ada Long will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at Leadington Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Thebeau officiating. Burial will be at the Old Pendleton Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Gideons.
