Lady Cats soccer team tops North County

The Fredericktown Lady Cats Soccer Team grabbed its second victory of the season, defeating MAAA rival North County, 3-0, Monday, at FHS.

Fredericktown’s Madisyn Sharrock scored her first of three goals from 30 yards out early in the first half. The 40-minute period was played mostly in the Fredericktown offensive zone.

In the second half, the North County offense had some opportunities, but the FHS defense and goalkeeper Cheyenne Cole kept the Raiders scoreless. Cole had seven saves in the match.

Sharrock’s second goal came from ten yards out and was assisted by Airika Etheridge. The third goal came with seven minutes left in the contest.

Fredericktown hosts Sikeston for Senior Night, Thursday.
