Women’s Connection meets Tuesday

Ladies of the Parkland are invited to enjoy the harmony of Joe and Geraldine Politte of Old Mines, Missouri when they sing and play old time folk and gospel songs for the June 9 Women’s Connection Brunch at the St. Francois Country Club, located at 4901 Hillsboro Rd.

Prior to retirement, Joe was Care Coordinator of the Central Missouri Area Agency on Aging and Geraldine was Area Supervisor with SMTS for Crawford, Dent, Phelps, and Washington Counties. Since then they have used their many talents entertaining with friends at The Pam Dudley Handicap Center, various nursing homes, senior centers and other musical jams and gatherings.

Special guest speaker Pat Bantz moved from California to Bentonville, Arkansas in 2001 into a farmhouse built in 1895. She has been a Hospice volunteer since 1993, earned a black belt in karate and is a competitive runner in the Senior Olympics. Her talk is called, “It’s your gift..open it.” It is light hearted and about being different and loving it because God made us that way. The Lord loves who we are and wants his light to shine through us.

Reservations for the $10 brunch can be made by calling Joan at 756-7226, Helen at 756-5220, or Lucy at 573-562-7492.
