MADISON COUNTY COMMISSION MINUTES
June 1, 2015 the Madison County Commission met with the following members present: Presiding Commissioner Bob Mooney, First District Commissioner Tom Stephens and Second District Commissioner Jim Thompson. County Clerk Don Firebaugh recorded the proceedings.
ROAD AND BRIDGE DEPARTMENT
Supervisor Gregg Pruett from the Road and Bridge department said the older grader has a leaky radiator and needs repaired. Discussion followed on the low water crossing that washed out on CR 320. Stephens said some boulders will need to be acquired and placed before the project starts. Pruett discussed the condition of a culvert at CR 505.
COMMISSIONER REPORTS
Stephens and Thompson visited the E-911 department, the sheriff’s department and the road and bridge department last week. They also checked on some wind damage in the Jewett community on CR 437.
Mooney attended a Solid Waste Management meeting, a Southeast Missouri Regional Planning meeting and a TIF meeting in Perryville last week. He also worked on the Work Ready Communities project last week.
Mooney and Thompson attended the District Commissioner’s meeting in Morley, MO last week.
All three commissioners attended and Economic Development meeting in Fredericktown last week. They also met with the Fredericktown City Administrator.
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE
Thompson made a motion to approve accounts payable. The motion was seconded by Stephens. The motion carried.
STATE AUDITORS
The Missouri State Auditors presented an Audit In-Briefing that commences the Madison County Audit for 2014.
ADJOURNMENT
No further business was transacted June 1, and Mooney adjourned the meeting at 10:30 a.m.
