Georgia Gretta Baker
PARK HILLS — Georgia Gretta Baker, 94, of Desloge, Missouri, passed away at her residence June 10, 2015. She was born November 4, 1920.
Teenagers Georgia and Noah met while attending Elvins Baptist Church. They married and lived in their home in Rivermines for 49 years. Noah passed just short of their 50th wedding anniversary. They were a pair, doing everything together. Georgia and Noah enjoyed fishing and camping at every opportunity. Georgia also loved caring for her home and flower gardens, raising their only child, Bettey, and doing various types of hard work. She was loved by family and neighbors and friends. Georgia was a member of the Elvins Baptist Church
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jess Copher and Hester ‘Simino’ Copher; her husband, Noah Baker Jr.; brother, J.C. Copher; and a sister, Wanda.
Georgia is survived by her daughter, Betty Bequette and husband Charles of Park Hills, Missouri; grandson, Robin Bequette and wife Lisa of Jackson, Missouri; four great-grandchildren, Austin, Hayden, Holdon and Kaylyn; Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including her many friends at Sugar Maple, also survive.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2015, at Horton-Wampler Funeral Home in Park Hills. A funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 13, 2015, at Horton-Wampler Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Bond officiating. Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery.
