Family-friendly film series in Desloge begins Saturday
The once-a-month free “Summer Movies In The Park” family film series begins Saturday in Desloge City Park with a showing of “The Lego Movie,” sponsored by First State Community Bank.
Activities begin at 7:45 p.m. and the movie starts about 8:45 p.m.
The second film in the series is “Elf,” starring Will Ferrell. The movie will be part of a special “Christmas in July” night on July 11. Those attending are asked to wear costumes showing “what elves look like in the off season.” Santa Claus is also expected to make an appearance. The movie is sponsored by Belgrade State Bank.
The third and final film in the film series will feature Disney’s “Frozen” on Aug. 8. Those attending are asked to dress like their favorite “Frozen” character, sing along and “see what a snowman does in summer.” The movie is sponsored by New Era Bank.
Filmgoers are asked to bring a blanket, lawn chair, snacks and drinks.
The family-friendly film series is being brought to the community by Hanna Mahaney’s American Family Insurance, along with the city of Desloge, North County School District and Desloge Chamber of Commerce.
