White named ‘Star Service Team Member’ for June

Parkland Health Center is pleased to announce that Audrey White, R.N., S.A.N.E., has been selected as the Star Service Team Member for June 2015. White is an emergency department nurse and a sexual abuse nurse examiner at Parkland Health Center-Liberty Street.

White has been an emergency department nurse for nine years and has worked at Parkland Health Center for nearly four years. One aspect of her job that she enjoys is the fast-paced environment of the emergency department. She explained, “You never know what’s going to happen every day.”

The nomination from Whites’s peers reads in part, “Audrey is always willing to help others out. She is an exceptional nurse! She is cheerful and displays a positive attitude. She comes in to help out other shifts and covers most S.A.N.E. cases. She is a team player and she deserves to be acknowledged for her excellence. She treats everyone like she would want to be treated. She is a perfect example of our Journey to Excellence.”

When asked how she felt when she received the Star Service award, White replied, “I was pretty excited. It means that I’m doing my job well, and giving my best to our patients.”
