Final summer movies in park set for this month

The final films of this year’s “Summer Movies in the Park” series will be held Saturday at Desloge Park and Aug. 15 at the Columbia Park Amphitheater in Park Hills.

Desloge Park’s film is the Disney family favorite, “Frozen.” Those attending are asked to dress like their favorite character, sing-a-long and see what a snowman does in summer. The film is sponsored by New Era Bank.

Columbia Park Amphitheater’s film is another Disney hit, “Big Hero 6.” Magician D.J. Edwards will be on hand and all are asked to come dressed in their “best hero” costume. The film is sponsored by Serenity HospiceCare.

Activities at both locations start at 7:45 p.m. with the movie following around 8:45 p.m. The films have no admission charge, but everyone is asked to bring a blanket, lawn chair, snacks and drinks.

Summer Movies in the Park has been brought to the community by Hanna Mahaney’s American Family Insurance Agency in Desloge, the Desloge Chamber of Commerce, city of Desloge, North County School District, Park Hills-Leadington Chamber of Commerce, city of Park Hills and the Central School District.
