Another day ‘Wonderland’

It’s time again for Alice in Wonderland. Wonderland being the good old USA. It is okay to sell tons of human baby meat, but refuse to bake a cake for somebody and you’re headed straight for ruin and disgrace. Do carpenters take every job that is proposed to them? Do doctors, plumbers or catering services? Of course not, even lawyers and judges have the privilege of disqualifying themselves from working a case. My question is: Could a woman work for Fox News if she didn’t have long legs, be able to cross them, and not care to flash the audience frequently? Another question, why did the EPA feel it was necessary to clean up a flooded gold mine? Somebody could have opened that up for a real exciting water park. Well, there’s nothing like living in a free country, with a bunch of wacko’s calling the shots.

If people are disgusted at the state of our country, how must God feel about it? He has blessed us so richly and we have responded with disrespect, lawlessness and uncivilized behavior. Nothing is forbidden, sin is not recognized. Unrepented sin will not go unpunished. Laugh about it if you will, but know the day will come when you won’t think it’s funny anymore.

Meantime, out of Wonderland and into the Rain Forest. When, in August, have you seen the trees, and all vegetation so lush and green? Even my only houseplant has gone crazy and is reaching out with twining arms, half way across the kitchen. It grabs me when I walk to close, but it is a loving embrace, not a malicious one. Remember the plant on the Twilight Zone, creeping in the night towards the bedroom, where the lady of the house slept unaware. It was malicious, no doubt about it.
