Family/Friend day at Grace Church of the Heartland

Family/Friend day will be Aug. 23 at Grace Church of the Heartland. There will be a special guest preacher, Pastor Dr. Benny Tate of Rock Springs Church.

Dr. Benny Tate has served for 25 years as the Senior Pastor of Rock Springs Church in Milner, Georgia. The church has grown from 60 in attendance to more than 6,000 under his leadership, and is opening its third satellite campus in 2014. The following ministries are part of Rock Springs Church: Rock Springs Medical Clinic, Rock Springs Christian Academy, the Potters House for Women and Impact Street Ministry to care for the homeless.

Tate serves as president of the Congregational Methodist Denomination and has served many times as Chaplain for the United States Senate and the United States House of Representatives in Washington, D.C.

Tate has authored four books: One More Night with the Frogs, Happy Wife, Happy Life, When you Follow a Star and Find a Stable, and Bennyisms.

Benny and his wife, Barbara, have been married for 30 years and have one daughter, Savannah Abigail. They currently reside in Griffin, Georgia.
