Jefferson College presents choral program

The Jefferson College PACE (Performing Arts and Cultural Enrichment) event series will continue with “Choral Perspectives – An Eclectic Approach” featuring the college’s Concert Chorale, Chamber Singers, and Community Chorale, on Sunday, at 3 p.m. in the Fine Arts Theatre on the Hillsboro campus.

The free concert is suitable for all ages and is one of many activities Jefferson College hosts each year in connection with its mission of community outreach and diverse educational experiences for residents.

 Selections will include “Wana Baraka,” “Lullaby,” “Alles hat seine Zeit,” “The Gartan Mother’s Lullaby,” and “Daniel, Daniel Servant of the Lord” by the Concert Chorale, “Walking on the Green Grass,” “Set Me as a Seal,” “O Mistress Mine,” “And God Looked Down at God That Day,” and “You Cannot Lose My Love” by the Chamber Singers, and “Festival Sanctus,” “Who Can Sail Without the Wind,” “Blow Ye the Trumpet,” “Prayer of the Children,” and “Joy in the Morning” by the Community Choir.

The choirs will be led by Choral Director Mark Cotter with piano accompanist Cathy Boemler.
