Krause named October ‘Student of the Month’

The Farmington Elks Lodge 1765 announced Kelsey Krause as the Farmington High School October Student of the Month.

Krause, the daughter of Mark and Julie Krause, has been selected as a Girls’ State participant, is an Academic All-State recipient, and will be attending the Missouri Leadership seminar. Krause has been class president since 2012 and has held office in the FCCLA in 2012 and the World Café in 2013. Krause is currently the president of the Black Knight Branch of FSCB and the yearbook copy editor (2012-2015).

In addition, Krause has also been involved in the National Honor Society, FBLA, Student Council, World Cafe, volleyball team, track team, Girls Only Science Club, FCA, 2015 Homecoming Candidate and a Velocity Youth Group member.

After graduation from high school Krause plans to attend a 4-year university to major in biology and continue on to becoming an optometrist.

As “Student of the Month,” Krause will receive a $100 cash award and will compete for the Farmington Elks Farmington High School “Student of the Year” to be awarded in May.
