Dorothy Smith

FARMINGTON — Dorothy Marie ‘Thomas’ Smith, 87, passed away November 8, 2015, at Jefferson-Mercy Hospital. Dorothy was the daughter of Harry and Selma Marie ‘Meyer’ Thomas. Also preceding were: her husband, Robert Barry “Bob” Smith (2008), and a stillborn sister, Barbara Eaton.

Dorothy was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Farmington, and the Lutheran Womens Missionary League. She was a member of Clearview Neighbors Club; former member of Farmington BPW & retired from MARMC.

Survivors include children: Glenn Joseph (Carla) Smith; Jane Ann (Mark) Basler; and George Alan Smith. Brother, Duane (Nadine) Thomas. Sister, Janet (John) Williams. Four grandchildren: LauraAnn (Matt) Bavoso; Emily & Andrew Basler; Meredith (Derrick) Bohannon. Two great-grandchildren, Braydon & Kole Patrick Bavoso.

Memorial visitation starts Friday, November 13, 2015, 11 a.m. at Taylor Funeral and Cremation Service, Farmington, and memorial service at 1 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Chapel, with Rev.
