Van Manen selected to Missouri All-Collegiate Honor Band

BOLIVAR, Mo. — Five Southwest Baptist University students were chosen through a highly selective process for membership in the 2016 Missouri All-Collegiate Honor Band. The band will perform for the Missouri Music Educators Association Conference Jan. 29, 2016, at the Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach, Missouri.

The 100 students in the Missouri All-Collegiate Band represent 26 college/university band programs from throughout Missouri and will be conducted by Dr. Stephen Peterson, director of bands at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

Farmington resident joins board

Presbyterian Children’s Homes & Services (PCHAS) of Missouri elected Byron Taylor to its board of directors. The 101-year old agency offers a range of programs to strengthen children and families in crisis. Brandt is a retired Saudi Aramco engineer who resides in Farmington.
