Dorothy Jane Wilkinson Mason

FARMINGTON – Dorothy Jane Wilkinson Mason of Farmington passed away Monday, December 28, 2015, at the age of 89. She was born March 10, 1926, to the late Samuel and Josie Clanin. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Wilkinson and her second husband, Hugh Mason; five sisters and a brother.

She was born in Bollinger County and moved to the Farmington area early in her life. She stayed busy raising her family but found time to pursue her beautician’s license. She had her own beauty shop in her home with many loyal customers. Her family will remember her as a hard worker who never had a complaint and always enjoyed life.

Survivors include her children, Gay (Cookie) Wilkinson and Ruth Ann (Tom) Moyers, all of Farmington; eight grandchildren, Tracey Baysinger, Amy Wills, Greg (Drury) Moyers, Bob (Maria) Moyers, Wendy (Jason) Rust and Penny (Adam) Brown; twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Several nieces, nephews, extended family members and good friends also survive.

Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Saturday, January 2, 2015, from 4–7 p.m. Visitation will resume on Sunday beginning at 1 p.m. until the service at 2 p.m. in the Cozean Chapel with Reverend David Wright officiating. Interment will follow at Knights of Pythias Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Farmington Pet Adoption Center.
