New ‘Cinnamon Roll Queen’ crowned
St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Parish in Coffman had the fourth annual Old Fashion Country Christmas on Jan. 2 on the Feast of the Epiphany, with the crowning of a new “Cinnamon Roll Queen.”
This year’s queen is 82-year old Phyllis Hartupee. She received 1,205 votes from those attending attesting that her cinnamon rolls were the best tasting of the 24 ladies who were vying for the title of being the “Cinnamon Roll Queen of Coffman County.”
Second Runner up was Lisa Cartee with 1,066 votes and third place went to Alyssa Trautman with 1,044 votes
Each vote costs $1 and there was a total of 6,016 votes cast. The contest raised $6,016 raised for the smallest Catholic parish within the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
This year’s “Biggest Buck of Coffman County” award went to Stanley Heberlie.
