Several accidents, one fatal, reported Thursday morning

A Farmington man died after a one-vehicle crash Thursday at 5:10 a.m. off Route V in Jefferson County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, 25-year-old Billy Boyd of Farmington was driving northbound on Route V south of Saddle Creek Road in his 2006 Honda Accord when he crossed the centerline, went off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree.

Boyd was wearing his seat belt. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Valle Ambulance District at 6:23 a.m.

At 5:15 a.m. a Farmington man was moderately injured in a separate one-vehicle accident off Route E in Washington County.

According to the patrol, 23-year-old Joshua Martin was driving on Route E just north of Jolly Road in his 1999 Nissan Maxima when the car traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned.

Martin was not wearing his seat belt and was taken to Washington County Memorial Hospital by Washington County Ambulance.

At 5:45 a.m. in Ste. Genevieve County, another Farmington man received injuries after he was involved in a one-vehicle accident off Highway 32.

According to the report, Rahim Alaboudi, 42 was driving eastbound on Highway 32 in his 2001 Toyota Sequoia when the car went off the right side of the roadway, struck a tree and partially overturned.

Alaboudi was treated at the scene by Ste. Genevieve EMS for a minor injury.

In St. Francois County at 7:30 a.m. two Bonne Terre teens were injured in a one-vehicle accident off Highway 47 just north of Old Cadet Road.

According to the patrol, 17-year-old Melanie Nowak was driving southbound on Highway 47 in her 1997 Chevrolet Blazer when she lost control on ice-covered roadway and the Blazer traveled off the right side of the road and struck a tree.

Nowak was wearing her seat belt and her passenger, 17-year-old Allison Cooke was not wearing a seat belt. Both were taken to Parkland Health Center in Bonne Terre by St. Francois County Ambulance.

At 7:40 a.m. in Ste. Genevieve County, a High Ridge man was moderately injured in a one-vehicle accident off Interstate 55 at the 147 mile marker.

According to the report, 36-year-old Christopher Gruendler was driving southbound on I-55 in his 200 Ford F250 when the vehicle slid off the right side of the roadway, struck a rock bluff and overturned.

Gruendler was wearing his seatbelt and was taken to Ste. Genevieve Memorial Hospital by Ste. Genevieve County Ambulance with moderate injuries.

At 8:45 a.m. in Washington County, a Potosi woman was moderately injured in a one-vehicle accident off Highway M east of Doc Wallen Road.

According to the patrol, 32-year-old Kelly Carlyon was driving eastbound on Highway M in her 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe when she lost control of her vehicle on the icy roadway, and it traveled off the road and overturned.

Carlyon was taken to Washington County Memorial Hospital by Washington County Ambulance.
