Cats track teams run at Festus, Farmington

The Fredericktown High School Boys and Girls Track Teams ran in two meets, last week.

April 12 at the Tiger Town Invitational in Festus, the boys finished sixth out of 19 teams. Bernard Dorsey won the 400 Meter Dash and was fourth in the 200 Meter Dash. Zak Keller was second in the Discus, Tim Toppins was second in the 3200 Meter Run, Sam Toppins took third in the 3200 Meter Run. Also,  and the 4×800 Meter Relay team of Bernard Dorsey, Sam Toppins, Tim Toppins and Chris Avalos where 4th.

For the Lady Cats, Annabeth Phillips won the 1600 Meter Run and was second in the 3200 Meter Run. Also, Kirsten Hanner took fourth in the Discus. 

Friday, the teams competed in the Simpson Relays at Farmington High School.

For the girls, Phillips was 3rd in the 1600 Meter Run and 5th in the 800 Meter Run, Hanner was 5th in Discus.

For the boys, Dorsey was 3rd in the 400 Meter Dash, Winthie Couch was 4th in the shot put with an All Conference throw of 45-feet-9-inches, and Chris Avalos had an All-Conference run in the 3200 Meter Run with a time of 10:30.40.
