Fredericktown man injured in two-vehicle crash
A Fredericktown man was injured in a crash at 3:58 p.m., April 25 in Madison County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2004 Chevrolet Blazer driven by Perry Royer, 51, of Fredericktown was stopped to make a left turn from the westbound lane of Missouri 72, five miles west of Fredericktown. The patrol reports the Blazer was struck in the rear by a 2001 Dodge Ram pick-up, also westbound, and being driven by Bruce D. Scolley, 36, of Ironton.
Royer reportedly received minor injuries and was taken by private vehicle to Madison Medical Center.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts in the crash. Damage to the pick-up was “extensive,” while the Blazer was a total loss.
