Dement joins MAC Human Resources

Sarah Dement, of Farmington, recently joined Mineral Area College’s Human Resources Department as a payroll coordinator.

Dement comes to the college from Lee Mechanical Contractors Inc., where she was an accountant. Previously, she has worked as an office manager and bookkeeper for Music Makers LLC and as an accountant for Crown Valley Winery and Crown Valley Champagne House.

Dement received an associate degree from MAC in 2005, a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Central Methodist University in 2007, and an MBA from Webster University in May 2012.

She has been very active in American Cancer Society efforts, including acting as a track sign committee chairwoman for Relay for Life for the past two years. She has also worked as the accounting committee chairwoman from 2008-2014 and has worked as the accounting committee helper for ACS Making Strides against Breast Cancer.
