West County school board meets tonight

The West County Board of Education will meet tonight at 6 p.m. for a regular session in the Board of Education room located at 1124 Main St. in Leadwood.

Included on the agenda will be the presentation of various reports including a “persistence to graduation” report and updates from school administrators.

Items of old business will include updates on fundraisers, capital projects, new middle school updates and salary schedules.

In new business, board members will discuss the August board meeting and tax rate hearing date, eligibility criteria for the 2016-2017 free and reduced meals program and bus routes for the upcoming school year. The board will also hear a transportation report and the board secretary’s report for 2015-2016.

The meeting is open to the public.
