Senior center to host senior health fair
The Bonne Terre Senior Nutrition Center will be hosting their 2nd Annual Health Fair at the center on Friday and everyone is invited to attend.
Bonne Terre Senior Center Director Robyn Turner said they will have anywhere from 20 to 30 vendors there for the event.
“They will be doing blood pressure checks, pharmacies will be here promoting themselves and there will be home health care and hospice people here promoting themselves,” said Turner. “The St. Francois County Health Department will be doing trimming of toenails because anybody who has diabetes has to have them trimmed by a licensed professional.”
Turner added they will also have blood pressure and glucose screenings and a hearing aid person will be there too.
“It’s going to be your typical health fair and it’s not just for seniors, it’s for anybody who would like to come,” said Turner.
The health fair will be from noon to 3 p.m. Friday at the Bonne Terre Senior Nutrition Center located behind city hall at 118 N. Allen St.
