MADISON COUNTY COMMISSION MINUTES

July 25, 2016 the Madison County Commission met pursuant to adjournment with the following members present: Presiding Commissioner Bob Mooney, First District Commissioner Tom Stephens and Second District Commissioner Jim Thompson. County Clerk Don Firebaugh recorded the proceedings.

After the Pledge of Allegiance the meeting was called to order by Presiding Commissioner Mooney. The following business was transacted.

Commissioner Stephens made a motion to approve the agenda. The motion was seconded by Commission Thompson. The motion carried by vote: Presiding Commissioner Mooney (aye), Commissioner Stephens (aye), and Commissioner Thompson (aye).

County Clerk Don Firebaugh read the minutes from the last regular meeting on July 18, 2016. Commissioner Thompson made a motion to approve the minutes as presented. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Stephens. The motion carried by vote: Presiding Commissioner Mooney (aye), Commissioner Stephens (aye), and Commissioner Thompson (aye).

ROAD AND BRIDGE DEPARTMENT

Road and Bridge Supervisor Gregg Pruett said the department will be patching blacktop this week, weather permitting. He said the department put rock on CR 505 last week. They are also repairing a side mower.

COMMISSIONER REPORTS

District One Commissioner Tom Stephens checked the condition of several roads and visited the Road and Bridge department last week.

District Two Commissioner Jim Thompson also checked the condition of several roads, visited the Road and Bridge department. He met with a resident concerning a drainage problem.

Commissioner Thompson and Commissioner Stephens met with a Junction City elected official concerning CR 277.

Presiding Commissioner Mooney said he attended the Emergency Food and Shelter Program meeting last week. He also met with the Washington County Commissioners to discuss the courthouse accessibility issues.

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE

Accounts payable were presented to the Commission for approval and payment. Commissioner Stephens made a motion to approve accounts payable. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Thompson. The motion carried by vote: Presiding Commissioner Mooney (aye) and Commissioner Stephens (aye).

No further business was transacted on July 25, 2016. Presiding Commissioner Mooney adjourned the meeting at 11:30 a.m.
