No one injured in rollover crash on Route K

The Bonne Terre Fire Department was called to Route K in front of the Circle K store in Bonne Terre Friday at 2:30 p.m. for a three-vehicle crash with a rollover.

Bonne Terre Fire Chief Matt Barton said the driver of a truck was pulling out of the Save-A-Lot store area with the intention of going straight across Route K into the Circle K parking lot.

“The little blue Dodge Neon was going eastbound on Route K towards the prison and he pulled out and didn’t see the Dodge Neon,” said Barton. “He literally drove over the top of him (the Neon), turned over and struck another vehicle that was waiting to pull out of Circle K parking lot.”

Barton said it was like a scene from a movie and he didn’t know how, but no one was injured in the accident.

“The driver of the truck that rolled over was banged up and had some scrapes and cuts, but he refused medical attention,” said Barton. “It was quite the mess, it’s something you don’t see very often in town.”
